2024 Hall of Fame Inductees
In honour of their commitment and contribution to Liverpool FC Women we are pleased to announce the 2024 LFCWSC Hall of Fame Inductees:
Sylvia Gore MBE
Throughout her time with Knowsley United and Liverpool Ladies, Sylvia was a Secretary and Chair of the Club among various other titles and was key to setting up Liverpool’s first Women’s Merseyside Derby at Anfield. She was also involved in the organisation of the club – arranging the printing of the programmes, travel, etc. and was the link between Knowsley United Ladies FC and Liverpool FC. She worked in partnership with Brian Hall for the team to become known as Liverpool Ladies FC in 1995. There would not have been Liverpool Ladies without Sylvia’s determination. Sylvia was also an England International and scored the first official England goal in their first ever match against Scotland in a 3-2 win, in 1972.
Sylvia’s award was collected on her behalf by Steve Gore & Jeanette Tree, as she sadly passed away from Cancer in September 2016.
Maria Harper
Maria is a former England international who played for Knowsley United WFC and Liverpool Ladies FC between 1991 and 1997. She was initially Vice Captain of Knowsley United between 1992 and 1993, before Captaining Liverpool Ladies FC between 1994 and 1995. Maria also played for Knowsley United in the 1994 Women’s FA Cup Final and for Liverpool in the 1995 and 1996 Women’s FA Cup Finals.
Kerry Davis
Kerry is another former England international who played for Knowsley United WFC and Liverpool Ladiesdds FC between 1992 and 1994 scoring over 40 goals in the process. She also played for Knowsley United in the 1994 Women’s FA Cup Final Previously the Lionesses’ all-time top scorer, Kerry Davis was the first Black player to play for the Women’s national side, forming a crucial part of the Lionesses attack for almost sixteen years.
Becky Easton
Becky is a two time WSL winner with LFCW, and played for Knowsley United WFC and Liverpool over two spells (1994 to 1997 and 2013 to 2015). Becky played over 100 games in those two spells and also won 44 England Caps. Becky currently works as a National Scout for FA Wales
Ashley Hodson
Ashley spent 9 years at the club, playing 135 games and scoring 10 goals. Up until last season she was also our record appearance holder. Ashley also holds the rare distinction of winning both the WSL and the Women’s Championship with the Club.
